Zambia at the 26th International AIDS Conference 2026

Zambia is proud to participate in the 26th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2026), held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 26–31 July 2026. The conference provides a global platform for sharing scientific discoveries, innovative programmes, and best practices in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

This compendium showcases Zambia’s outstanding contribution through a diverse collection of oral presentations, poster exhibitions, and implementation research from the Ministry of Health, National HIV/AIDS/STI/TB Council, research institutions, universities, civil society organisations, and development partners.

The abstracts reflect Zambia’s continued leadership in advancing HIV prevention, treatment, care, digital health, laboratory systems, adolescent and youth programming, HIV research, health systems strengthening, and community-led interventions. They also demonstrate the country’s commitment to evidence-based policy and innovation as Zambia works towards ending AIDS as a public health threat.

We invite researchers, policymakers, healthcare professionals, partners, and the general public to explore the remarkable work presented by Zambian institutions at AIDS 2026 and celebrate the collective efforts that continue to improve health outcomes for all.

Together, through research, innovation, and partnership, Zambia is shaping the future of the HIV response.
