Chairman's Welcome Remarks | National HIV/AIDS/STI/TB Council | Zambia

Chairman's Welcome Remarks

Welcome to the new-look website of the National HIV/AIDS/STI/TB Council (NAC) aimed at providing a platform of interaction through exchange of current information relating to the national HIV response.
Accurate and reliable information is a sine qua non for effective decision making and managementof the AIDS epidemic. This website will serve as a valuable resource for your different needs in the key areas of research, programming and personal use.

This website is intended to be a ‘one-stop shop’ in terms of provision of vital strategic documents among them, the National HIV and AIDS Strategic Framework (NASF) 2014-2016and the National HIV Guidelines.  NAC would like you to see this website as a channel that accurately depicts the HIV and AIDS situation in Zambia at a glance.
The website will act as a repository of knowledge across a continuum of HIV prevention, treatment, care and support for the benefit of all Zambians who look up to NAC to coordinate the responseas articulated in the NAC Act No. 10 of 2002 which creates the institution.

The cardinal role of NAC spelt out in the Act is coordination and supporting the development, monitoring and evaluation of the multi-sectoral national response for the prevention and combating of the spread of HIV, AIDS, STI and TB in order to reduce the personal, social and economic impacts of HIV, AIDS, STI and TB.
On behalf of NAC, I encourage you to utilise the information on this website and to feel free to offer suggestions on how NAC could better serve your needs.
