CCM Zambia of the Global Fund
The CCM Zambia (CCM-Z) is a multi-sectoral public-private national partnership that submits funding requests to the Global Fund and oversees the implementation of the Global Fund HIV, tuberculosis and malaria grants on behalf of Zambia.
The CCM Zambia is independent of the government, not selected by the Global Fund, and operates on a voluntary basis. The CCM is accountable to the Zambian nation as a whole.
Currently, the CCM Zambia oversees grants worth more than 400 million USD that are implemented by the Ministry of Health and the Churches Health Association Zambia.
The CCM Zambia is committed to country ownership, participatory decision-making, elimination of stigmatization and discrimination, as well as transparency and accountability within Zambia in the fight of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.
The CCM-Zambia is hosted by the National HIV/AIDS/STI/TB Council.
The Global Fund allocated US$349,779,344 to support the national response to HIV, tuberculosis (TB), and malaria as well as to build resilient and sustainable systems for health (RSSH) in Zambia. This amount constitutes an increase of almost 11% compared to the 2021-2023 allocation.
Funding will be provided for all three disease components. The Global Fund proposes that 72% are used for HIV, 6% for TB, and 22% for malaria.
Additionally, Zambia is eligible for catalytic Matching Funds of 12.4m US$ for HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis, finding and treating the missing people with TB; and community systems and responses.
